Opened on Broughton Street in April 2008 because its owner Patrick Crawshaw felt there was a need, in Edinburgh for the type of good old-fashioned charming Café/Bakery that harks back to the days of the Lyons Tea-rooms: An enticing interior that gives a nostalgic nod to the past, but at the same time being innovative, stylish, and above all – a destination that provides a huge range of delicious food that’s all made on the premises using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, and as much as possible, organic.
